News about Concealed Betrayal

Hello everyone!

I wanted to take a moment to give an update on Concealed Betrayal. I told my Facebook followers that I had a bit of a hiccup with Microsoft today as I was doing my second and final edit for the book. Well I finally got through it. (Yah!!) For all of my up and coming authors, please understand that writing and publishing a book is very hard. Especially if you are publishing it on your own. Please do not think you are going to write a book and become an overnight success. This business comes with many trials and tribulations. You have to grind day in and day out. Trust me when I say, writing the book is easy.

Ok, so I got through the edit, now what? Well by the end of the week, the book will be sent to the printers and I will be waiting for my proof. If all goes well once I get my proof in about two weeks, maybe three, the book will then be ready to be distributed. Meaning its time to market lol that’s a whole different ball game.

While its going through print, I will be sending my book to kindle. Now, for my kindle lovers, this takes nothing but 24 hours hmmmm….do I release or wait? I’m not sure yet but whatever I decide, I will let you know.

Concealed betrayal will be sent to two reviewers this week as well so I’m excited about that.

So I just wanted to drop a few notes to let you know what’s going on. I am working really hard over here everyone. I’m trying to bring my best book yet!!!

Lastly, please expect to see Love’s Deception in paperback on amazon real soon.

I told y’all I was grindin! Hard work pays off and I’m on a mission.

Until next time,

Read a Snippet of “Concealed Betrayal”

Alright so a couple of my fans on Facebbok are itching for “Concealed Betrayal” I got the manuscript back today from my editor and I ran across a really good scene in the book.

Here’s a little background: Tina Mitchell has a secret that only she and two other people know about. At this point in the story, the readers have been told what that secret is. Meanwhile, her daughter is going through issues she never thought she’d experience this young in her life. Tina and Calvin are having a discussion in the family’s den. Check it out:

“Glad you finally decided to come home,” she told her husband. Calvin looked tired; like he hadn’t slept for days. “Had to clear my head.”

“Can we talk now?”

“Let’s talk.” Calvin followed Tina to the den. They closed the door to get a little privacy. He threw his keys on the coffee table and turned to his wife. “So…”

“So we need to talk about Candy. What are we going to do?”

“Tina, I don’t want her here.”

“Calvin, I’m not putting my daughter out. She needs us. I think we need to talk to Eugene and his family.”

“I don’t have time to talk to that boy’s family. My concern is my daughter. I think she done got beside herself these last couple of months.”

“How would you know? You ain’t been around. You don’t talk to us. You ignore us. You haven’t helped me raise these children. You just come in here and isolate yourself. Now you wanna come in here and lay orders. I don’t think so.” Tina was hot with her husband. When she needed him he was nowhere to be found. Now he wants to lay down rules. Tina wasn’t having that.

“What? Neither have you. You ain’t been here either. I might not talk to you but I notice that your mind is somewhere else. You aren’t here with your family. You didn’t lose a family member so what’s going on with you Tina? Huh? Why have you been so distant with your family?” Tina got quiet. She had no idea that Calvin was noticing that her attention had been elsewhere the last few months.

“Maybe we need some time apart.”

October 4th…maybe sooner!

So what did you think? Leave a comment!

I have news; Come check it out!!

Good Morning!

I wanted to update you on a few things.

First, I too am waiting on “Concealed Betrayal” lol I have a few readers who are eager to get their hands on the book. I’ve been promoting it for months now and I cannot wait for you all to read it. My editor has it and I should have my manuscript back no later than September 1st. Thank you for your patience.

Secondly, once I get the manuscript back, I will be releasing the sample chapters. Probably the first 20-30 pages of the book and right after that comes the Book Trailer. The Kindle Version of the book will be available October 4th, 2013. The paperback Version will be released two weeks later and I’m trying to get it on ibooks. Trust me when I say, “Concealed Betrayal” is on the way!!!!

Many of you may already know this, but there’s a follow up to Concealed Betrayal and it’s called “Caramel Mix.” That will be released in April 2014.

After “Caramel Mix” I have a few books in mind but right now I am set on releasing a book titled “The Married Mistress” but of course this is subject to change so don’t hold me to that 🙂 I have some collaborations with another author I’d like to get out before then and I’m thinking about releasing my third volume of “The Tension Reliever” poetry series called “The Tension Reliever Volume 3; The Death of Me”, so we’ll see.

I received the rights back to two of my books “Inspire Me Young” & “How to Keep God in your Life” I will be releasing these with edited versions and new covers on Kindle only for $.99. These two books should be released by the end of the year. I’m excited about this. There’s nothing better for an author than to have total control of your work. Two books down, three more to go!!!!

And lastly, I am in the middle of having all of my books on Kindle and amazon for purchase in Kindle and paperback version. I am lowering the prices on paperbacks as well. So in the next couple of weeks, you will hear some announcements from me concerning a few books and their new releases.

Thank you all SO MUCH for all of the support. I love to read the excitement about my upcoming releases. I love that you all can releate to my books and are eager to read more. THANK YOU!

Be sure to follow me on facebook. I lower the prices of my books almost weekly just to get them in your hands and Facebook is where I leave the announcements.

Have a fabulous day!

Meet the Characters; Concealed Betrayal

Good Mornig!

It’s the last day of “Meet the Characters”

Candace “Candy” Mitchell, T.J. Mitchell, Travis Mitchell & Cayla Mitchell

Candace also known as Candy is sixteen, the oldest of Tina and Calvin. She’s dating a boy too old for her and her mother can’t seem to get through to her. She’s not at all concerned about school. She has major attitude and talks back to her mother the majority of the time.

T.J. is the second oldest to the couple and he is thirteen years old.

Travis, is nine and Cayla, the baby is five with Auburn Hair like her mother.

The three youngest children do notplay a major role int he story. Candy plays a big part in the story and has her own little issues going on. I believe any female can relate to Candy when they were sixteen.

Other characters you will meet in the book:

Joan Harrison, Tina’s Mother

Mr. Keith, Calvin’s mother’s friend

Divina, Tina’s best friend

Eugene, Candy’s boyfriend

Vernell Young…??? (He plays a key role in the book but I just can’t reveal who he is. Gotta wait until October 4th to see)

In my opinion, “Concealed Betrayal” is my best book yet. I have not written a book like this before, nor have I ever touched on these delicate subjects in my work. I think every person that reads this book will be in awe and will be able to relate. I bring the house down with this work. I can confidently say that. I am proud of what I did with this book and can not wait for you to read it.

Leave me some feedback! Ask away!

“Concealed Betrayal” is on its way! October 4th.

Next I will be releasing the Book Trailer and the sample chapters!

37. 5’4 in height. Long Auburn hair. Stay at home mother of four children. Wanted to be an Interior Designer but her husband, Calvin, wanted her to stay home and raise their children. Tina also, doesn’t know how to comfort her husband through this rough time. Longing for the man he used to be, she looks for comfort elsewhere.

Tina is an only child to Joan Harrison.

October 4th, 2013 “Concealed Betrayal” Meet Tina Mitchell the woman that brings hell into her marriage and family.

Author’s thoughts on the characters.

Tina will be te most hated character in my book. She’s relateable. She’s a mother, a wife, stays home to tend to her house just like any housewife. But she gets caught up and does some wrong things to good people. For this, my readers will not like her. But they’ll love her in the end. I think she’s a strong character. One I’ve built easily. The readers will love this book and the drama it brings!

October 4th, 2013, “Concealed Betrayal” Meet Calvin Mitchell

Author Thoughts on the Characters:

I like Calvin. He’s a good man, good father. There’s nothing but goodness in him. At this point in his life, when the book begins, he just need a strong woman by his side to help him get through this time. I think my readers will feel sorry for him and will love him!

Tomorrow, I’ll be introducing you to another main character: Tina Mitchell

We are in mid summer but I am gearing up for the fall. I have taken a hiatus on Literary Career Moves and The POV Lounge. I haven’t did much reading his summer but I have traveled and I have been reading. I took a vacation to give myself a break from the literary world but I haven’t gotten much of a break. The months have been busy for me and I hardly have a down week. Maybe one or two days a week where I’m pretty lazy. Always on Sunday and maybe a Friday night.

Anyway, I wanted to drop in and give everyone a little info on what’s new and what to expect from me this fall. First and foremost, “Concealed Betrayal” My anticipated 8th book will be hitting stores on October 4th. If you read “Love’s Deception” you were able to get a little sample of what’s to come. So far, I’ve received nothing but positive feedback from “Love’s Deception” and excitement about “Concealed Betrayal” Thank you to everyone that has chosen “Love’s Deception” to be their book of the summer. Keep the reviews coming!

I gave away two copies of “Love’s Deception” I will do another giveaway with “Concealed Betrayal” Please be patient with me. Coming next are the sample chapters of “Concealed Betayal” I’m pushing for mid August, beginning of September. I am also pushing to get “Love’s Deception” in the ibooks store. Again, please be patient with me.

A few people wanted to know when I will be accepting clients again through Literary Career Moves. The answer to that question is probably mid August. I’m a mother 🙂 school is starting soon, so I must prepare my Diva for the next grade. Give me a little time. I am however accepting general author questions. Please do not hesitate to contact me on Facebook or on this website or Literary Career Moves to ask your questions. I never turn away my literary friends.
